If you love River walks, you won’t be disappointed. The River Skell flows through the centre of Ripon before meeting the River Ure. Approximately 100 yards from the house is a sign posted walk that takes you along the River bank to the Ripon Canal. The Canal runs from Oxclose Lock to the canal terminus in Ripon. It’s a pleasure to do, please try it whilst there, or if you are sat enjoying the garden you can hear the therapeutic sounds of the waters in the distance for you to relax.

For Horse racing lovers, Ripon Race Course is a 20 minute stroll away, how perfect is that when visiting race meetings, if you wish to drive there, it’s only 5 minutes.
